Born in 2003, SARCOLYTIC are a fucking brutal Texan four-piece who are currently signed to Unique Leader Records.
WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY FROM?
Austin, Texas.
The Lone Star State, probably due to its enormity (it’s the second largest State in the U.S. in terms of physical area and by population) churns out lots, and lots, and LOTS of music.
Janis Joplin, ZZ TOP, Roy Orbison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Nelson, Steve Miller, and Buddy Holly were/are all Texans.
As are FLYLEAF and DROWNING POOL.
But one of the State’s best known Metal bands, of course, is PANTERA. Then there are HELLYEAH, DAMAGEPLAN, RIGOR MORTIS, DISFIGURED (there are two; one from San Marcos and another from Harlingen, the latter of which is now defunct), PURGATORY (defunct), VASAELETH (although one member is from Georgia), MILITIA, SOLITUDE AETERNUS, AZRAEL’S BANE, GORED, and VENOMOUS SUPREMACY, among many others.
