Leja Siv Harju (LAY-uh SEEV HAR-ee-yoo) has long been an avid creative writer. And although Metal came to her attention a bit later on, each in time would prove themselves equally important to her. She eventually wed her inborn literary talent to her headbanging antics when, while attending college in New York in 2008, Leja created HailsWebzine on MySpace with the intention to provide a platform not only for her own then-favorite bands, but also as a means of delivering all things Metal to the masses. HailsWebzine began with news bits, the occasional concert and album review, and soon Leja was itching to expand. HailsWebzine ran strong for nearly two years before Leja felt too pressed for time and drained by personal events and an apparent lack of response to HailsWebzine’s content to push forth.
HailsWebzine sat dormant for the better part of a year until Leja, fresh from a concert-packed trip to Europe and feeling her pangs to relocate growing stronger, moved to Los Angeles - with only her acting career in mind.
It was Leja’s mother who would talk her into breathing life into HailsWebzine once again, and expecting no more progress from her efforts a second time around, Leja took to revamping the site and her approach, creating a unique band profile segment called Who The Hell Are They? and finally conducting her first video interview. Shortly after, she began hearing from various record labels and requests for reviews and interviews quickly started to pour in.
In December of 2011, Leja became the executive editor of, and main interviewer for, and centerfold model in Rock ‘N’ Roll Industries Magazine. Leja considered it a great honor to be included in the NAMM show / Randy Rhoads 30th Anniversary Memorial issue, for which she also interviewed the Rhoads family for the cover story.

HailsWebzine aside, Leja is an Advanced Level Meisner Method-trained actor, a classically trained vocalist now studying rock vocal technique, and she has some modeling experience under her belt.
